~ If you have beefed up your electric cart you are probably enjoying an increase in off the line
torque. Electric motors produce 100% of their torque at 0 rpm. This
means every bit of power you got is going to be put to the wheels every
time you take off.
Worse yet is the damage that is done to the axle splines. The high cost
of axle and hub replacement has led me to produce the pinch hub for
stock ezgo axles and brakes.
Great news for off road road and race enthusiasts. 
But, it's bad news for stock ezgo brake drum hubs. Ezgo hubs have long
been the Achilles Heel of the Ezgo dive train. Hardly a week goes by we
don't advise somebody on the forum to check their hubs when their cart
suddenly won't go .....
