This kit includes a built-in cooling fan which allows the control to sustain peak out longer. Controller has a 570 amp peak output. Use with the stock motor or any aftermarket motor.  This kit will run on 36 or 48v right out of the box. It is ready for that 48v upgrade when you are.  


Due to the size and weight of these older carts C54U is the best bet for the job.

We urge installers to remove all of the original speed control system before starting and wire per our simple instructions & diagram for the best results.

The standard golf cart go pedal sits at very upright position of 123 º

This new electronic peadal sits at a more relaxed 143 º.

Customers tell me 143º is more natural foot position. 

All of the components in this kit are 36 volt and 48v compatible. Voltage selection below determines which solenoid precharge resistor is sent. Selections are 250Ω for 36v or 470Ω for 48v operation.

Each kit contains the proprogrammed Alltrax SR Controller, a matched heavy duty or super duty Solenoid, the electronic pedal assembly, general mounting hardware,  the resistor and diode for the solenoid, and a main 250 or 400 amp fuse. Plus the install instruction and diagram.

2 gauge welding lead is the best high amperage cable for these carts.

Soldered or Crimped copper lugs connections are recommended.  

Whichever method you choose must be secure and sealed from acidic vapor intrusion.

About 25 ft of cable is needed for the average cart.

Mount the components relatively close each other to minimize waste and loss.


The super 400a solenoid with both kits requires a 3/8ths lug (2)

The super-duty reversing contactor requires four 3/8ths lugs (4)

Everything else is 5/16ths lugs


Direction selection switching. Generally called the F&R .

There have been many size and shape F&Rs used over the years but, they are all 8 lug rotary switches with a rotating plate with 4 contacts that are dragging across 4 stationary contacts. You can use an older rotary switch like this with the C44U if the cart is running & the switch is in good condition. I suggest you do not - the switch probably has 30 years of wear on it. Use the SW182 for best results.


The C54U kit must use the SW202 for best results

Both reversing contactors come with the remote rocker switch and housing. The switch and housing can be mounted on any flat surface or the rocker switch can be cut into any  panel or dash.

Here is a universal conversion for any old cart with resistor coil speed control

or multi-solenoid speed control or any combination of coils and solenoids.
